FRAAS – Since 1880
Scarves are our world, our tradition, our passion and our heritage.
From the fiber to the fringe – every production step at FRAAS is done with the social and environmental considerations in mind that sustainable and high quality products demand.
The globally operating family business, which has been manufacturing scarves and other textile accessories in Germany for over 125 years has continually followed this principle in its company policy. Many of this Franconian company’s products are labelled “Made in Germany”, which means they are woven, dyed and finished with a commitment to the local region, conserving energy and shipped short-distance to domestic customers.
Day in and day out, a total of 280 employees at the facilities in Wüstenselbitz and Helmbrechts do their part to ensure the sustainability of FRAAS products. At the nearby facility in Helmbrechts, the products are processed. Thanks to the implementation of the most modern technology, hand in hand with traditional know-how, FRAAS achieves sustainable production with a mere 4,000.00 kilowatt hours of electric power and 5,000,000 kilowatt hours of natural gas.
The goal of the company is to further satisfy these environmentally valuable demands, promote their development and continually improve them. “The high quality of our products is evident in each fibre of the product – from its inception to the trendy fashion item. We are happy to share this good feeling with our customers”, says Andreas Schmidt, managing director of FRAAS.
Like FRASS, we at Kapdaa put an emphasis on zero waste production and craftsmanship. We are ecstatic to work with FRAAS in their effort to eliminate waste by transforming their extra fabric into sustainable, handmade accessories that look and feel as good as their scarves!
