At KAPDAA – The Offcut Company, every piece matters!

Over the past 3 years we have saved over 6400 meters of fabric going to landfill. That’s almost 21,000ft… the same height a plane would fly at… but that’s not enough. We want to get to the height of Everest by March next year (29,000ft) but we need people who have the vision and inspiration to take us to the moon – yes, we will only be satisfied once we have stopped 384,400 km worth of offcuts being placed in landfill.

We have opened our studios for local artists to build a sustainable community which will help us move towards our zero waste vision sooner. A place you join as an individual, ‘me’, but where you become part of a greater purpose. A place where we’re redefining success measured by personal fulfillment, not just the bottom line. Community is our catalyst.

With our new strategic partners – London Fashion Fund, London Waste & Recycling Board and British Design Fund we would like to encourage local artists to use offcuts, end of roll material and reclaimed fabrics to create their designs & new products.

We have a wide array of creatives in our community including a health equipment designer, a baby wear specialist, quilting experts, innovators, book binders, accessories designers, illustrators and fashion designers creating unique, beautifully crafted, waste conscious products.
